I always helps me to think of new creative ideas on hikes

same - I find when my mind wanders I get a good brainstorm in! Sometimes I record a quick video for later - or jot notes in my phone.

Yay for hiking adventures & getting away from it all. That is where we can access parts of ourselves that we don’t always have time to tend to at home.

My favorite escape!

Loved the summary of your adventure! The views were indeed spectacular. But I think the lesson you learned is also quite valuable. Having time to be, to notice, to hear ourselves...to know what are comforts are and our non-negotiables. I am so very happy for you!🤩

I could go on and on because it was so EPIC ♥️

I remember the first time I slowed down from a jog to a walk on a hiking trail, and I took out my iPod buds to really listen to the sounds around me. Once I did that, I stopped trying to beat some external goal or requirement. I stopped comparing. I just thought about those things my mind had been trying to ask me for so long, and I finally enjoyed myself for once. Hiking truly is transformational if we let it be.

Agree! I mostly hike without books or music but sometimes I want a little something.

Congrats on your journey - looks beautiful! Although I really enjoy a good hike (no camping - not for me) or a walk outdoors, home is where I’m happiest. I will admit, however, it’s so much easier for me to slow down and just “be” when I’m somewhere else - no schedule, no “to-do” list.

Agree! So much easier to relax when my to-dos aren’t staring me in the face 🤪
